Microblading

by @_sydneyscissorhands

Initial cost $525

Annual touch up $225

Third session $75

THE JIST

During your first session, we will go over medical history and fill out all necessary paperwork and go over any remaining questions or concerns you may have. We will proceed to map out your 'perfect brow' based on your bone structure, alignment, and personal preferences, color match your natural hair for the perfect shade of brows. You will then be numbed before the initial procedure. I will make the first pass of strokes on both sides, and then we will

re-numb for a more comfortable session.

Once each side has had the appropriate amount of passes we will color mask your brows one final time, and proceed to clean and prepare for proper aftercare. 6-8 weeks later you will return for your free touch up appointment where we can address any healing concerns, go darker, or bolder.

At your annual touch up appointment, we can go darker, bolder, or simply refresh what we previously did. Due to the nature of this service, Microblading is considered semi-permanent and does need to be refreshed. The timeline of touch up's looks different for everyone and is based off of sun exposure and skin conditions.

Should you need a third session due to unusual circumstances or desire a specific change, you will be charged for products used. This session may not be booked any later than 9 weeks after your second session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo performed with a small handheld tool, using a feather stroke technique to produce the appearance of a fuller eyebrow. Microblading is a softer/more subtle cosmetic tattoo than older methods. Microblading is designed to gently fade over time as this allows the artist to make changes to color, and shape over the years as clients natural coloration and facial changes occur.

Does Microblading hurt?

Before Microblading begins, a topical anesthetic is applied for 20 minutes to minimize discomfort. Once the procedure has begun, and we've completed one pass over your brows, you will be numbed again with a liquid anesthetic. Most clients agree that it is relatively pain free, I have even had several fall asleep during the procedure.

How long does it last?

The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will fade over time. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-2 years. How frequently depends on a number of factors including:

  • Skin type (oily fades faster)

  • Pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster)

  • Sun exposure - over time can cause fading and discoloration

  • Use of anti-aging products - these products increase your cell turnover rate and will shorten the life of your tattoo

What to Expect:

Immediately following your procedure your tattoo will appear darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. This will last 3-6 days, until the scabbing begins. Swelling and redness is minimal in most clients. The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color is evident. Keep in mind microbladed brows heal up to 30% softer than the initial color.

Please note final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigment differently and break down at different rates.

What do I need to avoid post-treatment?

  • You must avoid working out for 7 days after the initial procedure. (Minimal sweating) The tattoo must be cleaned immediately afterwords, as the salt in sweat can fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.

  • Do not pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness. Let the skin fall off naturally.

  • You may shower and bathe normally, but avoid allowing the water to directly hit your brows. And avoid using any soaps or cleansers on the treated area.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 14 days. You must wear a hat outdoors during the healing process.

  • Do Not apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first two weeks.

  • No swimming pools, jacuzzis, salt water, etc for two weeks.
